Commander Jim Lovell was born on March 25,1928. He married to Marilyn Garlach and had four children together. He attended the University of Wisconsin and studied in bachelor of science in 1952. In 1961 he then attended Test Pilot School, NATC, in Patuxent River, in Maryland. In 1971 he participated in the Advanced Management Program in Harvard Business school and the received his honorary directories from Rockhurt College, Illinois Wesleyan University, Western Michigan University, Mary Hardin-Bayor College and Milwaukee School of Engineering. Captain Lovell was chosen to be an astronaut by NASA in September 1962. Since the experience with has since served as a backup commander for the Gemini 4 and backup commander for the Gemini 9 flight. He completed his fourth mission as spacecraft commander of the Apollo 13 mission in April 11-17, 1970 and became the first man to travel too the moon twice.
Fred W. Haise Jr. was born in Biloxi, Mississippi on November 14, 1933 and Married to the former F.Patt Price of Rogers, Texas and they had four children together. He graduated from Biloxi High school and attended Perkinston Junior College. He received a bachelor of science degree with honors in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 1959. He then received a bachelor of science degree with honors in Aeronautical Engineering. Then recieved an honorary doctrine of science from western Michigan university of 1970. Haise was one of the 19 astronauts selected by NASA in April 1966. Served as backup lunar spacecraft commander.
